Michael McEvoy

Michael McEvoy, is a Belfast based Dancer Artist & Theatre Maker. Specialising in contemporary dance performance and choreology, Michael has had the great pleasure to work in TV, Film, Cruise Ships, Musical Theatre, Traditional Theatre, Opera and most commonly Contemporary Dance.

An Alumni of Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music & Dance, Michael graduated in 2019 with a First Class BA(Hons) Degree in contemporary dance and was awarded The Sylvia Bodmer Memorial Fund for exceptional research into Choreology.

  • Oona Doherty’s ‘Specky Clarke’

  • BSPA’s ‘Charlie & The Chocolate Factory’

  • FUSION Theatre’s ‘Amelie’.

Michael is celebrating the pleasure of working in theatre for 10 years. Michael choreographed his first production; Fetch Theatre Company’s ‘Evita’ in the MAC Belfast 2014.

Our Mission

Our purpose is to Encourage, Support and Inspire the Creativity of individuals of NI through professional dance engagement and performance. Courageously developing the professional sector as a company that produces new work for today's social, political, economic and artistic landscape.

NADC is a continuation and development of choreographer Michael McEvoy’s existing practice & body of work. We aim to create work for people of all ages & spaces; to build audiences, nurture dance artists and curate exciting collaborations across all arts forms.

Northern Attitudes Dance Company will continue exploring and defining Contemporary Dance Theatre, Film & public engagement through creative & play.
